"The Bombers" are a Hot Rod Car Club on Long Island.

and his beautiful American Dream, 1957 Chevvy~I'll be digging up more pictures of L'il Joe DiGennaro's classic...if you're into Classic cars or Rods, you've seen that beauty at the shows, and at Lead East.

Irene DiGennaro wears many hats, and here she just needed a Boufant! Former Prom Queen at Lead East, they are honored each year. I'll get a picture of her '65 Falcon Convertible up here soon.

Frank Fanelli was the first official Member of the Club !

Frank Munaco Jr's 1932 Chevy is getting some TLC

Already the stick shift has aquired a skull, and exciting aquisitions are

the skull exhaust covers and skull tail lights.

Papa Cici puts in time on the '32 also...just like in the old days; a 'rod' is a group endeavor, whether it be some skill or expertise, or one's presence in the garage, shifting from one foot to the other while the yarns spin and the jokes fly...and interest runs high to see how the work will turn out and what will be next. "Did you find that part?" "Did you match the paint?" "Hey! I found a guy with a radiator shell in his back yard!"

The Bombers threw a great party! They have a gift for making fun!

The event was a huge success...great turnout! Winners of the uniquely crafted prizes and Awards personally made by the founders of Boulevard Bombers were thrilled. I would have been! I was amazed! Put it on your calendar for next year if you're an enthusiast.
