IS THAT ALL THERE IS?
| At first I thought poetry was just pretty verse. I began to equate it with Philosophy, then with Psychology. It's all there! Nothing is separate! Physicists have proven that all molecular action permeates all things, there is no beginning and no end...the table we see becomes a chair if we sit on it...and beyond that, nothing is solid, though our eyes perceive it to be so. My first experience with T'ai Chi Chuan convinced me this is a discipline for creating better balance, strong legs and back and freely moving joints. That's absolutely correct, yet only the beginning!! Ultimately, T'ai Chi reveals one's resistance to life, to change and to free movement! |
| Carl Jung coined the term "synchronicity." The connection between ideas and the concentration of the mind results in events appearing when we desire them strongly enough. This can work in the positive and negative vein. "Li preceeds Chi," say Chinese...says T'ai Chi: Li, idea, notion...preceeds every action...even when we are unaware of the impulse. The missing link, the practice we must make, is adding our consciousness~ ~say, to our walking, moving~to prevent losing balance or walking into walls. Synchronous events prove again to me that All is One and the One in the All. Walt Whitman wrote of the connection between a flower "reincarnating" itself by means of it's seeds...seemingly dead, life blooms again in spring. |
