Windhorse is proud and privileged to shop at

(Cici
and I are working on this page)
Where you can find your supplements, the best organic veggies and fruit, canned goods, cereals, freshly cooked organic Deli Creations...vitamin and other supplements...you can sit and converse with other like-minded people while enjoying your breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack! Jandi's has a particular treasure in Willy; who, with Jandi's founder, Judy Chasser, Bless her,
braved the birthing of the Wholistic Movement as Allopathic Medicine tried to continue to dominate our health care system and obliterate all the knowledge that had proven itself over the centuries in this country, and milennia in the rest of the world. Willy is still at Jandi's and you can schedule a meeting with her to assess your nutritional needs ... she's one of America's first "Life Coaches." Judy, who was expert at Kineseology, and Willy with her formal education and experience in Nursing and Nutrition, have been key components in hundreds or thousands? of people's healing ... many after the allopathic doctors had given up on them! You will be enlightened as to the foods that are, in your present dilemma, harmful for you ... you will be advised toward healthier habits and shown various products to choose enhanced support from. Never have I been pressured toward anything at Jandi's! The help, however...is always there for the asking.
It is with huge gratitude that I build this page ... it is with love for humankind and our precious planet that I alert all who will read this to the good that Jandi's continuing efforts do for you, for me, our families and future generations.
Ben has worked at Jandi's for a long long time; and now brings his own little boy to Jandi's for lunch now and then...I envy the tiny ones being introduced to Natural Living so early in their lives...knowing that it is right and good, and having support in all of it!
So has Ray...and these guys know sooo much! They've essentially grown up around Judy, Willy, and Howard and Miles, Judy's sons. The boys had co-owned Jandi's when they grew up, and when Miles and his family moved to another state, Howard and Judy ran it with their efficient and amiable staff. Now Howard is soley in charge, but never alone! Pretty much the whole staff is multi-tasking and you can trust their knowledge!
I have to ask names again, but here are two wonderful people who will make you a fresh vegetable juice of your choice, with the veggies you like (and maybe some apple, ginger, garlic, beet...) I love the taste, and the energy that floods through me after drinking organic vegetable juice!
Be sure to ask them for tastes of delightful deli foods and soups, and take some home for your pleasure and best health.
Okay, now don't expect to find those $1- a pound "bargain" fruits here! The USDA and powers that be do not support the Organic Farmers...in fact, you can start to consider the courage organic farmers have, to
(a) continue to hold to their principles and values up against Monsanto and others...
(b) take the losses in crops that can happen when heavy pesticides are not used
(c) find what does work ... through experimentation, time ...
(d) have the respect for the human organism and Earth's integrity to avoid the "quick fix."
Personally...I owe these farmers so much. I am so grateful. From my own experience with my Dad being a small store owner, I realize that there are many factors, including ability to quantity-purchase, that affect prices we consumers pay. I will pay more money for my food than those who shop in "super (?) markets" do...and I am happy to be one who has fostered and supported the clean, healthy ways of human life. If everyone would demand good, clean, unadulterated, unsprayed foods ... we would have a different world. The greedy control over us would have to tighten a notch on their belts instead of continually loosening it around their fat bellies ... sorry, no offense meant; just an attempt to illustrate. You do ... or I hope you will begin to see, don't you? That you are being controlled by entities that have no concern over how sick you get or how depressed or destitute you feel ... ?
Here's my basket...in progress! It was filled by the time I finished!
One day as I shopped and chatted with a young man tending the displays, he told me how in his native country, Peru, his Grandmother had a farm just like this one pictured on Jandi's wall. He brought back the nostalgia of my Father's enormous "Granny Apple" tree that we would pick from each summer...the scent of the lovely blossoms that would fill our yard. The young man told of picking the fruit and vegetables, and sitting in the field eating them ... corn right off the stalk, blueberries off the bush. I have like memories of when I visited my Aunt's little farm, and when my Nana would send me outside with a bowl to the empty lot next to her home (there were lots of them then ... it was more like occasional homes on the field ... now if an empty patch of land is seen it's time for a celebration!) to pick the wild blueberries so she could make dessert ... for me, there is nothing so nurturing as seeing how the Earth Herself hands me all I need to survive. The young man had the same reverence, and we bridged the generation and cultural gaps with the reality of Existence, Survival and Sustainability.
As I've said repeatedly over the years, "Long Live Jandi's!!"
