Organic Farmers put their care, values, respect and Spirit into their work. They condition the land for two years before planting organic food into it~did you know that? After two years at rest, a piece of land has been washed free, tilled by earthworms and other natural farmers... and considered by the California Organic Farming Code to be sufficiently recovered from pesticides and chemical fertilizers; fit for producing chemical-free food. Organic farmers work harder than commercial plow-jockeys...so that you and I can have a choice to give our bodies Earth-produced food instead of laboratory-produced food. Already supermarket produce undergoes irradiation to kill off bugs and mold so that lazy folk don't have to wash it...the majority of people don't know that, and fewer people realize that the enzymes in the food are destroyed by that practice. Enzymes, for those of you that don't know, are what allow our bodies to digest the food. Ever notice the sickly glowing green of your supermarket produce? Put something organic next to it and compare the quality of the colors. People who eat and pay two-three times the price for Organic food~like me, protested the irradiation practice, but our politicians forced it upon the public anyway...still most, I hope, organic growers kept the faith...that's what I put into them: my FAITH. Now this shameful government is forcing organic principles to be put aside...politicians are dictating that standards be ignored so they can hide the sins of their nuclear waste in fertilizer in the Organic community as well as the mainstream...We need to keep alert, and make careful choices.  We would do well to grow our own food, support local farmers and reject the chemical laden, genetically engineered foods. Try making some small changes for your own welfare, and notice the difference in how you feel.  If everyone chose to buy organic food, the price of it would go down, aggression in people would lessen and disease would diminish.
